Two Chairs No Waiting 275: The Many Parts of Floyd the Barber – Howard McNear

Two Chairs No Waiting

Two Chairs No Waiting

Host: Allan Newsome
Running time: 0:24:18

I was reviewing my archive of hard copy versions of The Bullet and found a jewel in the June 1, 1992 issue.  There’s a story in there by Jim Clark titled “Howard McNear – The Many Parts of Floyd the Barber” and it is a treasure!

On this episode of Two Chairs, I’ll read most of this wonderful focus on Howard McNear to you and I know you’re going to enjoy it.  If you enjoy it as much as I think you may, y0u can purchase a copy of the full version for yourself over at Weaver’s.

Enjoy learning more about America’s favorite barber.  “Everything’s okay in Mayberry.”

If you are a BIG The Andy Griffith Show fan and a BIG Gone With The Wind fan like myself, Desilu purchased the old RKO Pathe/Selznick Studios. Andy’s house in Mayberry sits beside the facade of Aunt Pitty Pat’s house in Atlanta in Gone With The Wind. The house is used in some episodes of someone sitting on the front porch, going or coming at the front door, showing Mayor Pike living there in some episodes. Also furniture from I Love Lucy, The Lucy Desi Comedy Hour can be recognized with a sharp eye.
