I was running through some old videos I have and found a wonderful clip of James Best and David Browning from Mayberry Days 2007. I shared this video back on episode #442 of Two Chairs No Waiting but it has been 5 years so I thought you might not have seen it and it is certainly worth viewing again.
I also found a couple of other clips from Mayberry Days past that I know you’ll love.
I do recommend that you actually watch this episode to get the full effect, if possible.

This week we’ll spend the entire episode diving into the November 2022 issue of The eBullet newsletter from The Andy Griffith Show Rerun Watchers Club (TAGSRWC). The reason being that in this issue it is announced that this will be the last issue. After 40 years of publication in one form or anther, TAGSRWCHQ is stepping aside from writing and editing a Mayberry newsletter.
Jim Clark has been doing this work for Mayberry fans since October 1982 and we, the fans, want to thank him for bringing a smiles to our faces every other month or so for all those years. It has always been a little like Christmas morning to me when an issue of the old paper newsletter, The Bullet, arrived in my mailbox via the post office and then, in later years, in my inbox in the form of The eBullet. My face lit up and I couldn’t wait to see what news there was of my Mayberry friends.
All things eventually have their time and 40 years is a good career for anyone. So, THANK YOU Jim and we’ll continue to try and hold up our end of things by continuing to watch reruns and enjoy Mayberry in all its forms as much as ever.

There are so many things going on in the Mayberry world, even after more than 60 years, so I want to take a while to make sure you aren’t missing out on being “in the know.” Thanks to Jim Clark at The Andy Griffith Show Rerun Watchers Club (TAGSRWC) headquarters in Nashville, we fans can always stay informed. The eBullet, the official newsletter of TAGSRWC, has been keeping fans up-to-date for years thanks to Jim.
We’ll have a few trivia questions to see if your Mayberry skills are sharp and then we’ll hear this weeks installment of “Returning to Mayberry” by SpiritWalker where he’ll look into “Main Star to Hotdog Bar.”

This episode we get to hear some of Ron Howard‘s memories of Don Knotts. Even as young as he was, Ron has memories of Don from the set of The Andy Griffith Show that he has never forgotten.
Andy will also have a little to share about Don and then we’ll head over to this week’s installment of This Week in Mayberry History by Randy Turner featuring “Don Knotts.” I guess when it’s his birthday week (21 July), Don is really on a feller’s mind.
