Thank you for visiting us here in our corner of Mayberry here on the web! Mayberry Podcasts started in October 2008 hosting our first podcast related to The Andy Griffith Show called Two Chairs No Waiting hosted by Allan Newsome. It was Allan’s dream to create a network of podcasts about The Andy Griffith Show so he created the Mayberry Podcasts network. The network has grown to include not only Two Chairs No Waiting but also Burke on Mayberry and the Mayberry Bible Study Podcast.
We hope you take a few minutes to visit and sample the shows we have to offer. If you don’t have an iPod, you are NOT left out. You can listen to any of our podcasts right here on the website by clicking the play button on the given episode.
You will find a menu at the top of the site that can take you directly to:

our “live” page where you can join other fans in our chat room and watch episodes being recorded live
Allan would love to have you follow him on Twitter or Facebook so that he can interact with you and keep you informed about the goings on around Mayberry.
There are other ways to stay in touch and develop friendships with fellow Mayberry fans and we’ll be adding more information soon about them so keep coming back.
Below you’ll see the latest episode releases but please go to the different podcast pages to find even more Mayberry talk. Thanks again for coming and enjoy your stay.
Every year since Two Chairs No Waiting began, we have taken an episode to celebrate the life of Don Knotts and mark the anniversary of his passing on February 24, 2006.
On this 6th anniversary of his passing, we’ll hear a question and answer session held during an event called “Mayberry in Meadowview” which was held in Kingsport, TN in 1999.
You’ll get to hear directly from Mr. Knotts as he answers questions from the audience of the Kingsport event. You will not want to miss this.
You’ll also want to catch the conclusion of the Q&A next week so be sure to subscribe to the podcast and not miss a single episode.
Follow me on Twitter if you use twitter. I’ve been posting Mayberry things there as another way to let folks know about The Andy Griffith Show.
Don’t forget to leave comments or ask questions on the TwoChairsNoWaiting.com website or using the contact information given in the podcast. We’d love to have you be a part of our next feedback episode. Call the Two Chairs No Waiting Hot-line at (888) 684-8415 and leave a voice mail to be part of the show.

I know the listeners to Two Chairs No Waiting are all big fans of The Andy Griffith Show but we all have friends who are not fans. How can that be? Did their parents not raise them right? Have they been brainwashed into the belief that the show is too “country” or “hickish?” Do they not have a funny bone? What 5 episodes of The Andy Griffith Show will get them hooked like a starving catfish?

The question, “Isn’t Opie’s sincereness a bit TOO fake sometimes. Like “Yes Ma’am” and “Yes, sir??” I doubt Ronny Howard was that “kind” in real life. It just sounds a little too fake…like a telemarketer being saying, “I promise will fix it.” That’s sort of what Opie was doing.”
What do you think? I’d love to hear your thought on this to add to those already found at the iMayberryCommunity.com web site.
We always assume that Bobby’s and Freddy’s bands are the same and while Freddy does mention that every time he comes through Mayberry that Andy tries “pot bellied schemes” we don’t know that it is the same band. Maybe Bobby and Freddy Fleet are brothers who both have bands that travel the state and sometimes come through Mayberry. Maybe the script continuity person missed this one and gave Mr. Fleet the wrong name. We’ll never know and it’s for fans to discuss and decide for themselves.
“The Guitar Player Returns” is only 7 months and 28 episodes later and the 31st episode of season 1 of TAGS (Oct 17, 1960 – May 16, 1961) and when “Bobby Fleet” appears, he’s a different man. No longer is Henry Slate playing the character but instead Fleet is played by Herb Ellis.
