How much do you know about Gomer Pyle?  Did you know he’s Goober’s cousin?  Did you know he lived in the back room over at Wally’s Service?  What else do you know about him?  We’ll, this episode will help you brush up on your knowledge and help you know Gomer just a little better.

Another great episode. Gomer is an unforgettable Mayberry charactor. One thing I found interesting is that when he left to do Gomer Pyle USMC, we got Goober ! I think the way they wrote Goober into the show was magnificent…it was not really like Goober was taking his place, Goober was his cousin who became employed by Wally as the service station when Gomer joined the Corps! I think this was a genius transformation which contributed to the success of Goober in the show. We had the best of both Gomer and Goober !
