The following is a fairly extensive bio on a great character actor, John Dehner. This Biography was prepared for us by Dale Robinson. He and I hope all of you enjoy it :
John Dehner was born in NYC in 1915. He began as an animator for Walt Disney, then worked as a disc jockey and pianist. He also was a publicist for General Patton during WW II. He made his movie debut in " Captain Eddie " in 1945.
He has appeared in many movies, including :
" Plymouth Adventure " in 1952; "
The Left-Handed Gun "
( 1958 ); " Critic's Choice " ( 1963 ); " The Cheyenne Social Club " and

Dirty Dingus Magee " ( 1970 ); " Support Your Local Gunfighter " ( 1971 );

" The Boys From Brazil " ( 1978 ).
On radio, he was a newsman and a regular on " Frontier Gentleman " and " Have Gun, Will Travel " ( in the role later made famous on tv by Richard Boone ).
On TV, Mr. Dehner was a regular in the following shows :
