Two Chairs No Waiting 156: Mayberry Days 2011

Host: Allan Newsome
Running time: 0:21:12

Two Chairs No WaitingLet’s talk Mayberry Days!  What’s Mayberry Days?  Oh…if you love, or even enjoy, The Andy Griffith Show you should start now planning a trip to Mt. Airy, NC the last full weekend of September. That’s where you’ll find an entire town filled with Mayberry fans and folks you’ll want to get to know.

I’ve been going every year since 1993 and I’ll tell you that every year it seems to be more fun than the last.  It isn’t just the Mayberry aspects of the event either. The fans you meet there are the salt of the world and getting to visit with them…well, it’s something special.

This episode also marks the end of my 3rd year of podcasting here at Two Chairs No Waiting.

Follow me on Twitter if you use twitter. I’ve been posting all kinds of Mayberry things there as another way to let folks know about The Andy Griffith Show.

One of these days, I will be able to go to Mayberry Days. I enjoy looking at the photos, thanks for the links. Neat call in from Paul on meeting Betty Lynn. Also, it was neat to see Betty Lynn get the drawing from a fan of hers.

The Rimshaw Place, love it! Good show, always enjoy my time here in Mayberry,
