"Briscoe Darling, tiller of soil, feller of trees" -that's how Briscoe (Denver Pyle) describes himself. But he's much more than that. He's the father of four quiet but talented boys, and a pretty, energetic daugher.
He handles the jug when the boys commence to playing music. "Got time to breathe, got time for music," he says. He's known for being able to get guitar sounds, banjo sounds - all kinds of sounds - out of his jug. If you ever disagree with Briscoe, that's O.K. with him. "More power to you!"
