Members of the crew position a camera following the direction of Bob Sweeney (seated). The technique of expertly using a single camera (standard practice for movies) rather than three cameras (as is common for most TV sitcoms) had an important effect on the overall presentation of Mayberry.
Among the episodes directed by Sweeney are: "The Pickle Story" (Episode #43), "Aunt Bee the Warden" (Episode #55), "The Darlings Are Coming" (Episode #88), and "Dogs, Dogs, Dogs" (Episode #93). In fact, he directed more episodes of "The Andy Griffith Show" than enayone else.
