February 28, 2006 - Msg 2191: I don't cry easily at things but I watched a lot of Don's episodes over the weekend, as a coping mechanism. I found myself laughing out loud a lot. But when I saw the ending to the Season Three episode, "Lawman Barney," I finally had some kind of release and had to let the tears flow. Now I know why so many cops I've seen over the last few days were so sad about Don. They totally got Barney and knew he loved law enforcement for all the right reasons. As I saw someone else say, Barney's now 10-42.

I am introducing this man and the show to so many new kids. I use the show to reach out to "at risk" youth in our school system.

I grew up watching AG and still watch the reruns, thank goodness for them, it is my escape to a time where people were goodhearted, I think Don was much like Barney, just a decent loving soul, I feel the same way about Andy.
