It will be a sad day when you friend Andy joins you in heaven for us here on earth but a joyous day for you both. The Andy Griffith show was and still is the best show ever, ever shown on TV. I watch the show everynight after work and when it's not on tv, I put in a DVD of Andy and watch the shows. Don was the greatest! It's a show I don't think could ever be replaced. With Andy, they became a great pair which gave the viewers a great show to view now and forever!

October 20, 2007 - Msg 4747: My son Bill just loves The Andy Grifith Show! He had sent me DVD's for christmas one year and he still watches them to cheer him up. November 21, 2007 - Msg 4753: They all set the bar for what great tv is! I just wish there were more reruns to watch. I've watched them all several times. Don you are one of the greats and you are deeply missed!

November 21, 2007 - Msg 4754: It's hard to put into words how much I love The Andy Griffith Show. In my mind and in my heart Maryberry is NOT fiction, but as real as any other town in America. People say I'm crazy but I don't care. My biggest hope in life is to spend three days in lock up. Aunt Bee's fried chicken and apple pie, Andy's songs and Barny trying to be tough!!! It doesn't get any better than that. Thank you Don and all for some very precious memories. Your are sadely missed.

November 25, 2007 - Msg 4755: I've watched The Andy Griffith Show and Matlock reruns for years. Mr. Griffith has and still is giving much of himself for his and our enjoyment. He's loved by many.

November 29, 2007 - Msg 4756: I don't even know where to begin about the greatest show ever on tv. I watch it everday. I have the whole collection on DVD. And even with all that I still find my self laughing ever time I watch an episode or even crying some times. I consider Don Knotts one of the greatest comedians of all times. I also have a large collection of shirts with Barney on them as well as license plate for my car. We even named our little dog in memory of Barney. (He's little but he's wirey). My family also gets together every Christmas to play Andy trivia. Again thank you Barney for some of the best memories I have ever had and continue to have. You are truly missed.

November 29, 2007 - Msg 4757: Thank you Barney for always coming through putting smiles on peoples faces. I cant imagine how many times it was probably their only smile of the day. You are a true Godsend..

December 08, 2007 - Msg 4758: I try to watch this show on a daily bases, and when I do watch it all is well with the world. Don Knotts and Andy Griffith are two of the most beloved actors of classic tv, and I will always have time for the neighbors of Mayberry.

December 26, 2007 - Msg 4762: I LOVE the Andy Griffith show and watch it everyday. I own all of the seasons except season #7 which I just ordered today. Now my grandkids watch it with me and they know that The Andy Griffith Show is the only one that Grammy approves of! Sure wish America was still like that. It WAS like that when I was a kid. Andy and Don were both great. And by the way, have you noticed GOD was a big part of TAGS? Several shows even opened with Andy and Barney singing CHURCH HYMNS! How's that for politically correct??? GO ANDY AND BARNEY AND GOD BLESS AMERICA!!

December 31, 2007 - Msg 4763: My firend, Barry is 11 years old and is big fan of yours. He just saw your movie The Ghost and Mr. Chicken. He also saw Private Eyes. He really has become a big fan of yours.

December 31, 2007 - Msg 4764: I went to an Ivy League school. TAGS is supposed to be beneath me. It isn't. It's genuine, warm-hearted humor is more compelling than almost all of today's pruriently-gratuitous sitcom fare. In short, I'll take TAGS in a heartbeat. And Don Knotts was as good as it gets...

December 31, 2007 - Msg 4765: I have always loved to watch The Andy Griffith show, I hope to continue to watch the reruns as long as It keeps coming on.

January 02, 2008 - Msg 4766: Don Knotts was a 1st class actor! I'm married to a deputy and he kids me that Barney is my "favorite deputy". We love watching TAGS and any movie or show that Don Knotts was in. He brought and is still bringing much needed laughter to the world.

January 03, 2008 - Msg 4767: The Andy Griffith Show is a spark of hope in a world that sometimes seems as if its gone mad. When I see the wholesome, Christian attitudes from the people on the show it lets me know that if the world was like that once it can still be that way. Don Knotts was the perfect companion to Andy's character. He had a suaveness all his own. Watching TAGS everyday (and sometimes more with my dvd's) brings me the Peace in my Valley I need.

January 08, 2008 - Msg 4768: Thank you so much Mr. Knotts for what you gave to the world. There is no way to describe the joy that you and the others from The Andy Griffith Show bring to my family EVERY week I regret that I never had an opportunity to meet you. Thanks again and God Bless.

February 06, 2008 - Msg 4775: Desn't seem possible it has been almost a year.

Barney lived to make us laugh. I think tears will just not do. I don't believe the "chemistry" we saw between Andy and Barney has been, or will ever be duplicated. Thank-you Mr Knotts for all you gave me and mine through the years. You are missed and remembered. To live in the hearts of those left behind is not to die.

February 12, 2008 - Msg 4776: Without a doubt, the funniest and greatest show of all time. It doesn't matter that you know what is coming on a rerun, it is still funny. Why couldn't all shows be this well done. Nip it in the bud!

My entire family loves the show and continue to watch reruns of the first five seasons, which we own on DVD. God bless.- Tom, Hernando, MS

March 18, 2008 - Msg 4787: The Andy Griffith Show is still an important part of my life. I watch it atleast four times a week, and every time I forget about this world we live in today. The way Barny and Andy fed off of each other is what made this show so worthwhile to watch. Don you are missed.

March 24, 2008 - Msg 4788: Barney Fife is the greatest character ever created for TV sitcoms. I think about him often. I have always wondered like I'm sure many other fans have, what direction the show would have taken if Don had stayed on after the 65 season. I know the show would have ended someday, but I'll bet it could have run until at least Opie left high school. I miss you Don. You were the greatest!!

March 25, 2008 - Msg 4789: Just two words come to mind, THANK YOU!

April 29, 2008 - Msg 4801: i have seen every episode of TAGS. my son is 3 years old and cannot wait to get him interested in the show. right now he is interested in scooby doo more. don knotts did a voice-over during the scooby doo movies in 1973. he was a character in a spooky mansion that kept changing his looks via make up and costumes to fool scooby and the gang. my son was watching this with my wife, (unfortunately, i was at work) during the show my son, who kept calling him "Don Nuts", ran into the kitchen grabbed peanut butter out of the fridge and smeared it with his hand all over his face, hair, arms, knees...he came back into the living room where my wife was on the couch and my wife see's him covered in peanut butter and asks why he did this. my son replied he was trying to make skin like Don Nut...my wife says, you mean Don Knotts, no he says, Don Nut! .......My son cannot pronounce Knotts yet, but he is already being entertained by a true comedic legend...thank you for your work and your continuing humor as you look down upon us...thanks Don and your family.

June 28, 2008 - Msg 4829: It was always a lot of fun to watch Don as Barney Fife gettin' himself in all kinds of trouble and then watching Andy bail him out While still giving credit to Barney for a job well done. It's too bad that there aren't more people that are like that and thanks to the production staff of the show as well it's easy to see that The Andy Griffith Show was wellspring of tremendous talents both on and off of the screen.

June 30, 2008 - Msg 4830: What a pleasure it is to watch The Andy Griffith Show and remember how nice it was not to deal with the issues that we have today. Their problems on the show were real, but people dealt with them in honest, common-sense ways. Where is that today? If only we had more parents like Andy, more friends like Barney, more aunts like Bea, more sons like Opie, and more citizens like those in Mayberry. I think this country would be a much better place.

Cheers to you, Don, for being one of our favorite entertainers. We will always love your honest appeal and your unbelievable talent.

July 03, 2008 - Msg 4831: I always wanted to visit Mayberry and see you and Andy as a kid. I'm sure I'll get too see you on the other side some day and hang out in Mayberry. That really will be a little piece of heaven ! God bless you. TG

July 15, 2008 - Msg 4836: We will always miss Don Knotts and his character of Barney. It still brings peace and a laugh to our family. May God bless your family and thanks for sharing Don with the world. Jeff Roanoke, VA

July 17, 2008 - Msg 4837: The Andy Griffith show was a perfect blend of character chemistry portrayed by actors and crew who really loved and respected each other. A classic example of what can happen when the pursuit is quality in the art of comedic storytelling. God bless Andy Griffith who was the heart of it all. Norman, Jacksonville, FL.

July 21, 2008 - Msg 4838: Love, love Barney character that Don Knotts portrayed so perfectly. Such an underrated comedian! He was great and watch Andy Griffith whenever it comes on. Also have all the DVDs, Barney my fave character. Thanks Don for bringing so much joy to all of us.:)

July 23, 2008 - Msg 4839: Knotts was the best actor in Mayberry and the ghost/chicken western.

August 02, 2008 - Msg 4840: Barney made the "Andy Griffith Show'' funny. He was my favorite character. We all miss you Barn! Nathaniel Beck, Staten Island, NY

August 08, 2008 - Msg 4841: Andy: "What's that smell? Barney, you been paintin'?"

Barney: "Well, it's after shave if you wanna know!"

Opie: "Barney, look at my fish!" Sniffing the air Opie continues:"Barnie, you been paintin' something?"

Barnie: "Oh, you two are a riot, you are! You two oughta join the circus and go on the road. You'd be a real hit!"

Mayor: "What's that smell?"

Barney: "Uh," looking at Andy and then Opie, "Uh, I've been painting."

August 14, 2008 - Msg 4842: Thank you, Mr. Knotts, for giving us the most memorable character in television history. Yes, Barney Fife was a pretentious boob, but what I consider most important about Barney Fife is that he was always loyal to his friend Andy. And I suspect Don Knotts was the same with his real life friends.

August 16, 2008 - Msg 4843: Mr. Knotts, you were a great actor. I watch everything that I can with you in it. Your comedy is pure genius.

August 17, 2008 - Msg 4844: If I had a time machine, I would stop in Mayberry and just might not want to come back. Aunt Bee's cooking, Andy's hospitality, Barny's antics, a small town and small town people, can't beat it... 10 cent sodas, Oh how I wish I had a time machine. I would go back and we could have some great times Barney. Maybe even let you rescue me from the cave. Don Knotts, you nailed it, you couldn't have done a better job. No one could have, I never miss a moment of TAGS when it is on. No matter how many times I have seen it before. That is a pretty good indication of how well you played the part sir. I can't describe how much your missed. Rest in peace. You put smiles on a lot of faces for many years, you can't ask for a much better reward. Your a wealthy soul Mr. Knotts.

August 27, 2008 - Msg 4845: Don Knotts was also awesome in "Three's Company." Don and Andy really have a shared legacy, even if Andy is the brains.

September 25, 2008 - Msg 4860: Well what can you say that is enough? The most awesome show ever on TV. Why can't we have shows that are written with great actors like then today. What I would have given to be a part of that show? I sit and think that eventually all of those wonderful actors and actresses will be gone and my heart breaks. There will never be another show anywhere near what TAGS was and my heart and love goes out to all of the wonderful people who put it together and were a part of it that made me laugh so hard I cried. I miss the ones that are gone already and cherish the ones still here. God bless you all. We love you !!

September 25, 2008 - Msg 4861: I watch the show every day and my 7 year old son watches with me. He is beginning a love affair with the show just like his dad. God bless........

But I'm glad it didn't. If it did the show would seem outdated today. But by staying with it's successful format it proves that great comedy, great writing mixed in with lovable characters never become outdated.
