Two Chairs No Waiting 235: Goober’s Age

Host: Allan Newsome
Running time: 0:20:51

The fine folks over at iMayberryCommunity.com have been having some wonderful discussions and one of them really hit the spot.  This week marked one year since the passing of Mayberry’s Goober, George Lindsey, so I thought it was fitting that one of the discussions going on over at the community was about Goober’s age on The Andy Griffith Show.  There is some conflicting information given that I had never taken the time to piece together in my mind but the big thinkers on the forum at iMayberryCommunity did just that.

Let’s unravel the mystery of Goober’s age and enjoy some special memories along the way.

Allan, that was a wonderful tribute to Goober , Thanks much!

About the inconsistencies with age, didn’t most shows keep a ‘journal’ (I know there’s a proper name for it, but can’t think of it…anyone?) where they recorded all the important details about characters, sets and stuff, that they could refer to to make sure things were staying consistent with the writing? Just wondered if TAGS used one.
