Every year during the Christmas season there are folks getting new gadgets that let them begin listening to podcasts and watching videos so I like to make it easy for them to find the best episodes of Two Chairs so I can get them hooked on the podcast.
There are a bunch of episodes of Two Chairs so here are a couple of lists to give everyone a resource for picking out episodes that other listeners and viewers have enjoyed during 2017 to get your 2018 started off right.
Bonus: This week’s installment of This Week in Mayberry History by Randy Turner featuring Jesse White.
EXTRA: After the show ends…I kept recording so you can hear some of what happens in the live version of the show. Happy New Year!

The one and only Christmas episode of The Andy Griffith Show is the inspiration for this podcast episode because it’s very similar to previous Christmas episodes but I figure if we can watch reruns of “The Christmas Story” over and over, doing a podcast episode that’s real similar wouldn’t be a problem for most. I also figure that listeners to this podcast enjoy hearing some of the Mayberry Christmas related music each year, too. It’s a tradition that I guess we’ll continue here at Two Chairs No Waiting so I hope you enjoy it.
There is a special guest this year in the form of Festus from Gunsmoke. He has a really good story to tell on Doc that I think you’re going to love.
We get to hear Ben Sandifer’s wonderful Mayberry Christmas poem.
We take a wonderful return trip down memory lane with Charlie Monk called “Andy & Opie Christmas.” Get a report from MayberryTone News and hear Miss Ellie sing.
Merry Christmas everyone!
Bonus: This week’s installment of This Week in Mayberry History by Randy Turner featuring Christmas.

Randy Turner has been providing us amazing facts about Mayberry history for all of 2017 and this week he brings us some great information about Aunt Bee, Frances Bavier.
We then have five voice mail messages with questions, observations, and all around Mayberry fun for us all to enjoy. Thanks to all who called in. Some asked me to call them back but I honest can’t do that. I wish I could but there are only so many hours in a day and I seem to keep running out. “What’s your hurry?”
Bonus: This week’s installment of This Week in Mayberry History by Randy Turner featuring Frances Bavier.

This episode I’m going to talk about some of the fun stuff found over at Weaver’s as well as continue my crusade to get the word out about all the Mayberry events and the stuff we have on the Internet. There is so much joy to be had visiting all the different Mayberry websites, reading newsletters, and attending events that it hurts me to know so many fans of The Andy Griffith Show know nothing about their existence. Let’s keep working to spread the Mayberry spirit….Lord knows, the world could use more of that sense of community.

The last couple of weeks have been hard for the Mayberry family with the passing of two Mayberry greats. First we lost Rance Howard and now our beloved Jim Nabors. Mayberry fans join Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C. fans and so many others in our sadness over the passing of Jim Nabors. In this episode of Two Chairs, we’ll do our best to honor the memory of that baseball cap wearing gas station attendant from Mayberry.

In this season four “The Andy Griffith Show” episode entitled, ‘Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C.’ which originally aired on May 19, 1964, Gomer joins the Marines, and Andy tries to help!
Mayberry received bad news just a few days ago when Rance Howard passed away. Rance is the father of Ron (Opie) and Clint (Leon) Howard and has contributed to the town of Mayberry in so many ways that I didn’t want to let this event pass without celebrating the life that he lived. You’ll learn a few things you may have never known about Rance Howard, I know I did.
Bonus: This week’s installment of This Week in Mayberry History by Randy Turner featuring Connie Sawyer.
