It is still Christmas time here in Mayberry and it’s certainly a busy time for us here at TCNW <\/em>HQ. As such, we’re going to have a “replay” episode this week where we revisit an episode called “A Condition of the Heart<\/em>” originally published on March 8, 2022. I hope you enjoy it and it helps bring us that wonderful Christmas spirit throughout the week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I thought it was a good one because we hear from Elinor Donahue’s son, Peter, toward the end of the episode talking about his mom and we heard from her last week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was moving things around in the Two Chairs No Waiting Archives and ran across a copy of “The Mayberry Confidential” from September 28,1995. You might be asking, “What is ‘The Mayberry Confidential?’ and I would say it is the “Official News of Mayberry Days” and is published each year as a guide to the events held during Mayberry Days in Andy’s hometown of Mt. Airy, NC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This issue has a wonderful story written by guest columnist Jim Clark called “A Condition of the Heart.<\/em>” I believe the feelings expressed by Jim fit well with comments made in previous episodes about Mayberry being a “state of mind.” Jim’s thoughts may be an even betty way to express what Mayberry means to us and I know you’ll enjoy hearing them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
