This is Mayberry Days week in Mount Airy, North Carolina.<\/em> Mount Airy is Andy Griffith’s<\/strong> hometown and this marks the 36th Annual Mayberry Days.<\/strong> Folks often ask what happens at the shows like Col. Tim’s<\/em> during Mayberry Days<\/em> so this episode we’ll experience some examples of the things that occur at Col. Tim’s.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is an episode that I would encourage folks to watch the video because the things we’ll be playing are clips from different events and seeing them, I believe, would be better than hearing only.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have Floyd joining Rodney Dillard and the Dillard Band in singing “House of the Rising Floyd,<\/em>” Elizabeth MacRae<\/strong> who played Lou-Ann Poovie on Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C.<\/em> will sing for us and be joined by Gary Crain (Gomer) for some fun, the first every performance of “Good ol’ 14A<\/em>” at Col. Tim’s<\/em> in 1994, and we’ll wrap up with Floyd singing “My Hometown<\/em>” with Elvis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
