Part 2?\u00a0 What happened to Part 1?\u00a0 Part 1 was done to celebrate the 100th episode of the podcast with Andy Griffith joining us in a recording of his address to the crowds at Mayberry Days 2004.\u00a0 We continue that presentation with Part 2.<\/p>\n

Andy discusses how they came up with the idea for The Andy Griffith Show and a bit about how the tone of the show was set.\u00a0 He tells us if he’s getting rich off of re-runs of The Andy Griffith Show.\u00a0 Andy also mentions the Presiding Goober of The Andy Griffith Show Rerun Watchers Club by name and that is BIG for all of us who are members.<\/p>\n

2004 was the year that TV Land presented the Andy & Opie statue to the city of Mt. Airy.<\/p>\n
