Back in 1972, while visiting the Indy 500 race with some friends, Jim Nabors was asked to sing “Back Home Again in Indiana.”\u00a0 He didn’t really even know the song and it was only minutes before he was to sing it as part of the opening ceremonies. In the time since, Jim has only missed singing the song to start the race about 6 times.<\/p>\n

Two Chairs No Waiting researcher, Mike Peacock, found this interview with Jim Nabors and was able to provide permission to use the audio.\u00a0 You’ll get to hear Jim tell about singing at the race and how it all got started.\u00a0 Interviewer Ed Wenck of 93 WIBC was able to speak with Mr. Nabors recently.
