The week following Mayberry Days 2012 I was lucky enough to make my way back to the home of Mayberry Days, Mount Airy, NC.\u00a0 It was a great visit!\u00a0 I was able to spend time with Debbie and Darrel Miles, as you heard on episode 211 of this podcast, and the fun continued later into the evening.<\/p>\n

Kenneth “Otis” Junkin and I were able to sit down with Mayberry Motor Inn owner Alma Venable to complete that wonderful, Mayberry evening.\u00a0 We sat and talked about how she came to be the owner of the Mayberry Motor Inn, how she came to be “Aunt Bee,”\u00a0 and so much more.<\/p>\n
