Hey Mayberry,<\/p>\n

WOW….let me just say that we had a wonderful time in Mt. Airy, NC this past weekend!<\/p>\n

We had 29 Mayberry fans join us for the Mayberry Meet-up!\u00a0 They came from *all* over but I think Ohio was well represented (4), Tennessee (4),\u00a0 Alabama (3),\u00a0 Georgia (2), and the most folks were from North Carolina (16) as it should be since we were in their back yard.<\/p>\n

Friday started off great with a visit to the Andy Griffith Museum and autographs from “Thelma Lou” herself, Ms. Betty Lynn!\u00a0 Folks stood in line for hours to meet Betty and get an autograph……none were disappointed.\u00a0 She posed for photos and chatted with every person in line bringing smiles and tears to each along the way.<\/p>\n

Friday and Saturday nights were highlights of the weekend for me, just behind visiting with Betty, because those able to do so gathered in the gazebo at the Mayberry Motor Inn\u00a0 (thanks Alma!) to watch episodes of The Andy Griffith Show, select video clips from Mayberry & beyond, and visit!\u00a0\u00a0 Just like sitting on the Taylor’s front porch, we gathered to talk and get to know one another better.\u00a0 What a wonderful time we had.<\/p>\n
