Welcome to the conclusion of our visit with George “Goober” Lindsey from\u00a0 1990 University of North Alabama (UNA) homecoming game. If you haven’t already heard last weeks episode, head over to episode 247 and give it a listen then come on back here.<\/p>\n

As I mentioned last week, George “Goober” Lindsey attended UNA back when it was known as Florence State Teachers College.\u00a0 As a result “Goober” was at UNA for their homecoming game back in 1990 against Tennessee-Martin.\u00a0 UNA eventually won the game 49-0 so, as you might expect, the play-by-play folks on the radio were struggling to find things to talk about to make the game interesting. In stepped George Lindsey and for the 3rd quarter announcer Jerry Knight was joined by “Goober” for commentary.<\/p>\n
