Ronnie Schell played the character Duke Slater on Gomer Pyle U.S.M.C. but he was also on The Andy Griffith Show twice.\u00a0 The first time he played director Jim Martin in the episode The Foster Lady then about two years later he played “Bernie the furrier” in Emmett’s Anniversary.\u00a0 Ronnie is a true friend to Mayberry fans everywhere and has been at many Mayberry events to share the love with the fans.<\/p>\n

This interview took place at the 1996 Mayberry Squad Car Rendezvous in Bradford, OH and was broadcast live by \u201cGood Morning Mayberry\u201d on Cincinnati\u2019s WMOH 1450AM radio. The show was on every Saturday morning from 10am to noon back in the 1990\u2019s.\u00a0 Host Mark \u201cGolden\u201d Richards and Dennis Hasty do an amazing job.<\/p>\n
