We first hear from Randy Turner about the Mayberry Halloween connections then move on to the story of the Golden Arm.<\/p>\n

The Golden Arm is a folktale appearing in many cultures through oral tradition. It was most famously told by Mark Twain and also used by him to instruct others in how to tell a story. In 2015, I presented the Mark Twain version of the story in episode #349. This being Halloween, it is time to tell the version of the story I discovered in 2016. Gather those you love nearby to keep you safe as you listen or watch.<\/p>\n

This is spooky so be sure to keep those who might not sleep well, like children or Barney and Gomer, away from this episode\u2026 I wouldn\u2019t want to have them staring into the night to see if someone might be lurking there looking for a golden arm.<\/p>\n
