We recently lost a fellow Mayberry citizen. Jack Burns<\/strong> played Floyd Lawson’s<\/em> nephew Warren Ferguson<\/em> for a time in Mayberry. He was called on to follow Don Knotts <\/strong>in the role of a deputy in Mayberry and that was certainly a thankless job. Nobody could replace Barney<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also lost Gene Reynolds <\/strong>who directed three episodes of The Andy Griffith Show<\/em><\/strong> and Fred Silverman <\/strong>who was executive producer of Matlock<\/em><\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
