In 2001 the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, TN had it’s first Mayberry event with Don Knott, George Lindsey, Betty Lynn, Howard Morris, Maggie Peterson, Bernard Fox, and the Dillards<\/strong>. I was so lucky to have been not only to attend but to perform as “Floyd the barber” along with these amazing people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Having performed since 1994 as Floyd, I realized I really didn’t have autographs from most of the cast members so I asked my wonderful wife to take my hardcover Mayberry Memories book and get as many autographs from the Mayberry folks as she could. She was worried something might happen to the book but I told her, “I know you won’t let me down<\/em>” because I knew she would take care of the book at least as good as I would, if not better.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
