This year marked the 9th Annual Mayberry Meetup<\/strong>. It’s hard to believe that what started by chance in 2013 is still going as a yearly event on the Mayberry calendar. Back in 2013 I was heading to Mt. Airy the third weekend in July in order to interview Betty “Thelma Lou<\/em>” Lynn<\/strong> for the podcast and mentioned if anyone what going to be in town that weekend we could meet-up. Twenty-five or thirty folks showed up and what I thought would be a one time event became an annual one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Folks started asking me late in 2013 when the Meetup would be in 2014? Thus began the fun and relaxing Mayberry gathering that the Mayberry Meetup has become.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
