In January 2014 I received an e-mail that changed things for me. It was from this weeks guest, Cody Ray DesBiens. At the time he sent the e-mail, he was 19 years old and he said he was a “HUGE Andy Griffith Show fan<\/em>” who watched episodes every night with his mom. That wasn’t the part that impacted me, though I was glad to hear a fairly young man was a Mayberry fan. What got me was that Cody had been diagnosed with a chronic type of Leukemia in October 2011.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He went through chemo and eventually needed a bone marrow and stem cell transplant. He was in the hospital for a long time and needed something to keep his mind off the pain and sickness. It was then that he came across the YouTube version of this podcast<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The thing that hit me was him saying that Two Chairs No Waiting <\/em>helped him keep his mind off things. Wow\u2026I was, and am, humbled by that and I’ve been wanting to have him as a quest ever since and FINALLY had a chance just last week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
