Randy Turner leads us off this week with a great This Week in Mayberry History report on the 8th season episode “Goober Goes to an Auto Show.” I know many of us, as fans, don’t like the color episodes but I believe this report may make you want to at least give this particular episode another watch..
Next up we’ll hear an interview that aired recently on WIBC 93.1 in Indianapolis on the Hammer and Nigel Show. Hammer and Nigel interviewed the Howell brothers who are doing all they can to bring more Mayberry into the world through the Mayberry Man movie. You’ll get to hear directly from them why they’re making the movie. For a few more weeks (until February 29, 2020) you have a chance to be a part of bringing the movie to life.
Finally, we have a few voice mails from fellow Mayberry fans that I’ll do my best to answer and a reminder about the Two Chairs Meetup coming up at the George Lindsey UNA Film Festival (6-7 March 2020).

We have some great listener feedback that has been coming in over the last several weeks so we’ll take this episode to catch up. We have both voicemail feedback and written so you’ll be able to enjoy hearing from fellow listeners/views of the podcast rather than just hearing from me. That’s a hit, write or call in so you I’m not the only one you get to hear each week.

Hang on to your notebook because I’m going to give you some information that you may want to write down and remember. We have a several notes from listeners that lead to me learning some things so I bet you’ll learn something too.
Do you know what a picnic is? I bet you think you do but you may not know why it was written on the signs at Foley’s and, before that, Crowley’s Market in Mayberry. After this episode of Two Chairs, you’ll be smarter than you were when the episode started. You may even get a certificate for learning just like Ernest T. Bass.

I have a few things to cover this week related to last weeks trivia episode. If you took the quiz, there are two questions that, according to Miss Crump, I have to give you credit for because I didn’t give the correct answer for each.
I got a question about the “Flat” patrol car see on the episode, “The Great Filling Station Robbery” and I give an answer that even Miss Crump will accept because I went back to the source, Bruce Bilson.
A voice mail or two help round things out so jump in where you can and hang on.

I’ve gotten a lot of feedback about previous podcast episodes of the last few weeks so I wanted to let you hear what fellow Mayberry fans are saying. Many of them will be audio comments and I’ll squeeze in as many written comments as I can.
Enjoy the show!
