Barney was always making his whole body a weapon in order to stop crime but why did he and Andy have that gun rack in the courthouse then? That whole rack was a weapon, well, it was full of weapons anyway. Have you ever wondered what type of weapons they were? I mean the brand, model, or make or the rifles, shotguns and even handguns seen on the show. I’m not a big gun collector but I got a call this week from someone who is and who’s on a mission to identify all the firearms seen in Mayberry.
I also got a note from another listener who found some information on “Nice Dress Nellie” that might add another clue to confirming her identity.

In episode 602 we tried out hand at the Qualifying Round questions from Mayberry Days 2020.
Now it’s time for the final rounds of the 2020 Mayberry Days Trivia Championship.
Round 1 will have ten questions with each being worth 100 points. Incorrect answers are worth negative 100 points. So keep up with your score and remember to remove 100 points for any missed answers.
Round 2 (worth 200 points each) is also 10 questions. Incorrect answers are worth negative 200 points. Guessing really hurts your score so keep that in mind.

The debate over how to spell Aunt “Bee” has been going on for years. Online, you see it spelled “Bea” a lot and I realized that in all the years of doing this podcast I have never addressed the issue specifically, until now.
I provide evidence that B-E-E is the correct spelling as well as some information about the name Beatrice and its origins. I’ve also created a PDF file that can be shared to help provide the correct information to any who are willing to read rather than listen to (or watch) this episode of Two Chairs.
