One of Two Chairs most faithful listeners sent in a wonderful report of a trip he and fellow TAGS fan, Codie, took to California to visit locations where The Andy Griffith Show was filmed. Codie provided a report that was published in the Jul/Aug 2026 issue of Weaver’s Newsletter and it’s great we get to hear Mike’s point of view of the trip.
Mike and Codie were able to take a trip any fan of The Andy Griffith Show would love to be able to take. Thankfully, these men have taken time to share their experience so that we can travel along with them. For Codie’s story, check out the newsletter but for Mike’s you can just listen along here on the show.
We’ll also play the trivia that’s in the current issue of Weaver’s Newsletter and we have a bit of feedback from listener Caleb who points out some marks placed on the ground for TAGS actors and from “that college kid” who went off to college and now can’t come to the chat room on Monday night’s when we record Two Chairs LIVE.

Two Chairs has been going reviewing episodes of The Andy Griffith Show (TAGS) for a while and we do trivia related to those reviewed shows. Since May 2026 we’ve covered five TAGSepisodes and I felt like it was time to do a review with new trivia from those specific episodes.
Join me in doing some multiple choice questions and see how you do. Feel free to go back and review TAGS episodes “The County Nurse,” “Andy and Barney in the Big City,” “Wedding Bells for Aunt Bee,” “Three’s a Crowd,” and “The Bookie Barber” before trying the trivia. All are from season 2 of The Andy Griffith Show. We’ll be going over the questions & answers fairly quickly because we’ll have 50 to get through.
I have a bit of feedback from you to go over as well. Some of them are corrections or clarifications of things I reported on. I always want to provide correct information so thank you to all who take time to make sure I get things right.

This episode will focus on trivia provided by listener/viewer of the podcast, Paul Mulik. Paul provides trivia for us here on Two Chairs quite often and we normally play a few questions each week. Since next week will be our “Spooky Time of the Year” episode and there won’t be any trivia, I thought we’d double down and do an entire group of trivia questions on this episode.
These likely won’t be all that easy so get out your thinking caps and lets see how many we can answer.
A listener wrote in with a question about “Central High” that I have an opinion on but don’t have a “for certain” answer. If you do, I’d love to hear from you.
We have a few voice messages to go through as well so this should be a fun episode.

During the Mayberry Meetup 2025, attendee Julie Sipe was inspired by the events and the things she was experiencing to sit down and write a letter to Opie. She wrote it as if Opie were a real person who had been among those who had impacted her life in positive ways. She told of lessons she had learned from watching Opie and his dad deal with bullies and spoiled kids, help a friend that perhaps didn’t have as good a life as she might have, love their neighbor as themselves, take responsibility and stand on their own two legs, and so many impacts in her life.
On Sunday morning of the Meetup, we gathered for a Mayberry Bible study lesson and as part of it she shared this “Letter to Opie” with those able to attend. It was touching and I reached out to see if she were share it with all of us here on the podcast. Thank you, Julie, for being willing to share this wonderful piece of yourself with your Mayberry family. I think I can safely say that what you’re going to hear will ring true with the vast majority of fans.
To round things out, we’ll have some fun trying to answer a few Mayberry trivia questions.
