The last few episodes we’ve been talking to folks who live in Andy Griffith’s home town of Mt. Airy, NC. Now, Mt. Airy isn’t Mayberry but it’s about as close as you can get. That said, I thought it would be fun to hear from a fellow fan of The Andy Griffith Show and the adventure of his first visit to “Mayberry.”
If you’ve never been to Mt. Airy, don’t over expect. The town doesn’t look exactly like the town of Mayberry but there is a Floyd’s barbershop and there are many other Mayberry things to see that will make the trip worth your visit.

I just got back from the 2012 edition of Mayberry Days held in Mt. Airy, NC and it was once again a wonderful experience. This was the 23rd Annual Mayberry Days and I can tell you that even a little rain during the parade did not dampen the spirits of those able to attend.
I’ll run through a quick report of the weekends activities so even if you weren’t able to be there, you’ll get a feel for what goes on at Mayberry Days. I hope you’ll be inspired to make it to next years Mayberry Days in Mt. Airy.
We also hear some feed back about episode 207: “Public Domain.”

It has been several weeks since we had an episode of feedback from the listeners so I thought it was time to focus on YOU. Sure, I have been mixing in comments and voice mail over several episodes but tonight we’ll hear from you.
I hope you liked the last couple of weeks episodes (#191 & 192) but I didn’t hear from anybody about those so no real feedback on them but we will hear from the writer of the “Floyd & Bert” episodes tonight. Both he and I would like to hear what you thought of the Mayberry Radio episodes because, well…they were a lot of work and we’re both wondering if y’all liked ’em or was it just us.
Thanks to everybody who called in and left a message.

Last week we discussed “Where is Mayberry?” and there was a question asked in the chat room during the live recording that I didn’t know off the top of my head. I looked up the answer in The Andy Griffith Show Book by Ken Beck & Jim Clark and share it with you early in the podcast.
We then answer some of the frequently asked questions (FAQs) that have been asked over the years related to Barney Fife/Don Knotts. As you might guess, that’s where the name of the podcast came from and I want to thank Matt who goes by FarmerSamJones in the chat room for suggesting the episode title.
I hope you enjoy listening to these trivial trivialities and I would love to hear back from you with questions or comments.

Some people who visit iMayberry.com come there to find out answers that may seem trivial to trivia experts but they are fans as well and deserve to know the answers to their questions.
I realized that over the years many of the episodes of Two Chairs have been very “inside baseball,” so to speak. I thought it would be good to move into a bit of Mayberry history and answer the question, Where is Mayberry?
We’ll look at a few resources on the web and hear some listener feedback as well.
