Wow…it’s Christmas time again here in Mayberry. There may have been only one Christmas episode of The Andy Griffith Show but this is our fourth Christmas episode for the Two Chairs No Waiting podcast.
I’m excited to have some great old Mayberry favorites to share with you.
Maybery fan, Ben Sandifer, provided us a wonderful Mayberry poem for Christmas last year so I thought you folks like like hearing it again.
We’ll take a wonderful new trip down memory lane by Charlie Monk called “Andy & Opie Christmas” which is a brand new treat for us this year.
We’ll have fun enjoying Miss Ellie singing “Away in a Manger” to close out the podcast because over the years that’s been the tradition for the Christmas episodes.
If you don’t enjoy any of that…I’ll try a few other things to make your Christmas as Mayberry as possible.

Did you know Aunt Bee was in the first episode of “Alfred Hitchcock Presents?” You do now but listen to this episode to find out even more.

Your fellow fans of The Andy Griffith Show have been writing and calling in to Two Chairs No Waiting for a while and we finally get to take some time to listen to their thoughts.
We also discovered some fun trivia on this episode about a pocket on Barney’s shirt that appears from nowhere. I’m thinking that witchery might run in Barney’s family. Remember TCNW 62: The Magical Christmas Card and TCNW 86: Barney’s Magic Badge? Both involved Barney. And now THIS. I tell you, something foul is afoot.
I hope you enjoy the show and thanks to all that provided feedback. I love hearing from you.

On this episode of Two Chairs No Waiting, we again celebrate the life of Don Knotts to mark the 5th anniversary of his passing on February 24, 2006.
Mr. Knotts fans join me in remembering the life of this man who has brought so much joy into our lives. We hear from Al Gandolfi, the subject of last weeks show, about his favorite memory of receiving an autograph.
Ken Anderson, Brian Humphrey, Jelsic Stern, and Clyde Hughes also took time to call in with their thoughts about Don Knotts.
He may be gone but he will not be forgotten.

A Tribute to Mayberry Brings Good Ole Days to Cocoa – Cocoa Florida’s “Good Ole Days – A Tribute to Mayberry” which took place April 8 and 9, 2005, surprised everyone by being a smashing success. (Al Gandolfi is on the left of the photo on a knee in front of Goober, Floyd, and Opie.)
