Two Chairs No Waiting

Many of you might remember Don Knotts appearing on The New Scooby-Doo Movies aired back in 1972 and in reruns every since. He was on two different “movies” that year and it was easy to tell that the cartoon character was Don Knotts.

There’s a new cartoon called “Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated” that just started last week and the first episode was titled “Beware the Beast from Below.”  I mention this because the crowd at the beginning of the episode had standing there, front and center, the Don Knotts character from back in the 1970’s.

I’ll have to check that I didn’t know that Don Knotts was in Scooby Doo. It’s amazing how they made a character that looks just like Don Knotts and you said that he played a deputy in 1 of the episodes and that ties it all back to TAGS. Really Interesting, I first heard about Don Knotts and Scooby Doo during the after show of one of the podcasts in the chatroom and its just fenominal and you showed the gang in the chatroom pictures of Don Knotts as Scooby Doo and so just today I listened to the Scooby Doo episode and I really hope Youtube or Netflix has one of those Scooby Doo episodes with Don Knotts so I am going to go look for that. By the way did Frank ever call back in about his question?

I was just thinking about Pod Cast 181 where you asked “What are you doing to spread the word about Mayberry and and all things related?” Since I have a closet full of TAGS related shirts I put one on every time I go out in public. Its amazing how many folks stop me and comment on my shirt.Since they initiated the conversation it gives me a perfect opening to talk about the show in general, the Pod Casts,Mayberry Days , and all of the web sites related to Mayberry.I have one shirt that I only wear to Mayberry Days because the general public does not get its meaning. It simply says “Call The Man.”

I was never a big fan of Scooby Doo, but this is interesting…the movie version with Don Knotts, now that gives a a reason t want to see it. I never this this little tidbit. I do remember “The Incredible Mr. Limpet” I think I saw the first run of that one. I remember around that time it became somewhat popular to mix live action with animation in movies. Seems like there was one done by WB with Michael Jordan with a basket ball theme. Good feedback session, nice to hear from other Mayberrians.

Listening to Joe about the Globtrotters, They were probably the first celebrities I ever laid eyes on. I was living in SW Oklahoma at the time and they came for a performance held at the high school. I was in elementary school at the time, but the original Globtrotters with Medow Lark Lemon were there and I got to see them in person but did not get any autographs, but the show was fantastic.

Jelsic ! is the Maude’s Jelsic? Hey he can sing well ! Great Job Jelsic!
