Very nice feedback, great to hear from Paul in Afganistan! Hey, if you ever noticed, the primary colors in the show were at one time a light brown and then at another time it was green….you can see the same colors used in Gomer Pyle USMC….I am pretty sure that the main reason was for providing a greater contrast and making the actors stand out. Remember the movie Psycho by Alfred Hitchcock? Not to sound morbid, but since the show was shot in black and white, they discovered that chocolate syrup worked best for blood in the shower scene.
At Old Tucson in AZ, the buildings that were built on the courthouse square are painted in light pastel colors which looks the best for background in the movies when they are filmed there.
