I was moving things around in the Two Chairs No Waiting Archives and ran across a copy of “The Mayberry Confidential” from September 28,1995. You might be asking, “What is ‘The Mayberry Confidential?’ and I would say itiis the “Official News of Mayberry Days” and is published each year as a guide to the events held during Mayberry Days in Andy’s hometown of Mt. Airy, NC.
This issue has a wonderful story written by guest columnist Jim Clark called “A Condition of the Heart.” I believe the feelings expressed by Jim fit well with comments made in previous episodes about Mayberry being a “state of mind.” Jim’s thoughts may be an even betty way to express what Mayberry means to us and I know you’ll enjoy hearing them.
We have several voice messages to share with you so stick around until the end of the show. You won’t want to miss our final call that we hear after this week’s installment of “Returning to Mayberry” by SpiritWalker called, “Rickles to Freckles.“
