Friends…all the below are options/suggestions for things to do in Mt. Airy. The main events, to me, are getting Betty Lynn’s autograph on Friday and the evening gatherings in the gazebo at the Mayberry Motor Inn to visit & get to know one another.
IMPORTANT:
I’ve been trying to find a way to communicate better while at the meet–up so I’ve created a “Remind” class for the Mayberry Meet–up. Remind is normally used for teachers to communicate with their classes but it will work great for this. If you can get TEXT messages on your phone, this will allow me to text all of you at one time. No personal information will be collected and you will ONLY get text messages from me related to the Mayberry Meetup.
To receive messages via text about the Mayberry Meetup 2015,
Send a text message to this number: 81010
with the following as the message: @maymu
(include the “@” symbol)
Jan and I are looking forward to seeing you all in Mayberry!

— Gather at Mayberry Motor Inn for trip to “The Depot” in Dobson, NC (about a 15-20 minute trip south on 601 out of Mt. Ariy).
— Bring your camera because it’s a sight to behold. Here’s a link to the web site – http://www.codycreek.net

— Gather at the Mayberry Motor Inn in the gazebo area (you don’t have to be staying there to come over and visit).
— Bring sodas, tea, punch and some snacks if you have ’em.
— BRING lawn chairs if you have ’em. (There are some chairs at the gazebo but to be safe, bring your own.)
— Some Mayberry Music by anybody who wants to bring an instrument and play. Jane is planning something special.

— Visit with friends.
— Maybe record some stuff for the podcast episode together.
