TCNW 386: Mayberry Books You Need

by Floyd on July 19, 2016

Two Chairs No Waiting

Two Chairs No Waiting

Host: Allan Newsome
Running time: 0:23:56

Over the last few months, I have been surprised how many people don’t know about Mayberry related things that are out there for them to enjoy.  They don’t seem to be aware of The Andy Griffith Show Rerun Watchers Club, Mayberry related websites, and so many other things that I enjoy so much as a fan of The Andy Griffith Show.

I want to try and figure out some way to help make sure that people somehow find out that they are not alone out there in the world in their love of TAGS.  I feel like with all the joy I’ve gotten from Mayberry, it would be wrong not to try and spread that joy to others.   This week we’ll talk about some of the books that fans can have that I believe add to the fun and will bring a smile.

TCNW 385: Mayberry Meet-up 2016

We just got home from the Mayberry Meet-up 2016 held in Mount Airy, NC the weekend of 8-9 July.  Jan and I had a great time and from the reports I heard so did the other 55 to 60 people who were able to attend.  The weather was really good for July in the south, especially on Saturday night, and the friends were first rate.

This episode is a report about the goings on and hopefully it will get you geared up to attend a Mayberry event near you.  Getting together with Mayberry people is one of the best times you can have without doing anything your mom wouldn’t want to hear about.

Here’s a link to the photos that were taken over the weekend for you to enjoy.
