Part 2? What happened to Part 1? Part 1 was done to celebrate the 100th episode of the podcast with Andy Griffith joining us in a recording of his address to the crowds at Mayberry Days 2004. We continue that presentation with Part 2.
Andy discusses how they came up with the idea for The Andy Griffith Show and a bit about how the tone of the show was set. He tells us if he’s getting rich off of re-runs of The Andy Griffith Show. Andy also mentions the Presiding Goober of The Andy Griffith Show Rerun Watchers Club by name and that is BIG for all of us who are members.
2004 was the year that TV Land presented the Andy & Opie statue to the city of Mt. Airy.

To celebrate the 100th episode of the podcast, we have “the man himself,” Andy Griffith, joining us in the form of his address to the crowds at Mayberry Days 2004.
2004 was the year that TV Land presented the Andy & Opie statue to the city of Mt. Airy. It was Andy Griffith’s request to TV Land that made this occur and Mayberry fans everywhere are thankful to Andy for making that request.

Two Chairs No Waiting
It has been several weeks since we last listened to the feedback sent in by your fellow listeners so tonight we’ll be diving into that. You may notice that the title is only “Feedback Episode” with no number. I did that in honor of Barney Fife because the last feedback episode we had was number twelve….so being cautious…I’m not numbering this episode.
We have feedback about the Darling boys, Mitch Jayne, Good Ole 14-A, and Don Knotts. We have some fun and interesting items included in the comments so sit back and enjoy the show!
The audio is a bit hard to hear and you will heard glasses clinking and laughter of those in attendance. I hope you can enjoy what you can hear as it certainly is rare audio and I wanted to share it with you.
