Two Chairs No Waiting
Welcome to Two Chairs No Waiting. I want thank Allan for allowing me the chance to host the show! I have a few stories to share with you about some things that happened to me in Mayberry over the years. These are fun memories NOW but at the time they happened, well, they’re bitter sweet memories that hopefully you can learn from and enjoy.
Be sure to drop by Floyd’s Barber Shop for all your barbering needs and for more stories like these. For a tip, I *won’t* tell you the stories…ha ha..
Also, please remember to leave comments about the show so Allan will know if you enjoyed the episode.
Thank you for listening!
Floyd tells a story about a can of spray paint that didn’t work and Bob White’s piano story.

Two Chairs No Waiting
I started out preparing to make an entire episode about TAGS writer Harvey Bullock but became side tracked by watching the “Aunt Bee’s Romance” TAGS episode looking for a sound clip “Did I tell you what the mirror said to the dresser?” Harvey answers that question for us and and then I drifted off into talking about other great quotes from “Aunt Bee’s Romance.”
I hope you enjoy visiting with me in Mayberry as much as I enjoy talking about the people of Mayberry.
Please let me know what YOUR favorite quotes from TAGS are and hopefully a future episode will be able to feature some of those quotes.
Thank you for listening and please remember…..

Two Chairs No Waiting
Welcome to part two of our two part interview with the owner of The Snappy Lunch, Mr. Charles Dowell.
The focus of this episode is the world famous Pork Chop Sandwich and where the idea for serving it came from. As I’ve said before, if you’re ever in Mt. Airy be sure to have a pork chop sandwich “all the way” because, as Andy might say, “They’re gooooood!”
Recorded in April 1998 in the back room of The Snappy Lunch so you’ll here dishes, pots and pans knocking against one another as the workers get orders ready.

Two Chairs No Waiting
We’ve had folks asking about the folks that live in Mt. Airy, Andy’s real hometown, and interviewing them. The last two episodes were an interview I did with Russell Hiatt from over at Floyd’s Barbershop so I felt like it was very fitting to continue the theme this week with Charles Dowell.
Charles is the owner of The Snappy Lunch and the creator of the world famous Pork Chop Sandwich. All kinds of famous people have visited The Snappy Lunch. Charles is a fixture in Mt. Airy and offers a personal view of the town and the people who live in and visit Mt. Airy.
The interview was recorded in April 1998 in the back room of The Snappy Lunch there are dishes hitting each other and folks getting orders ready that can be heard in the background.
Thanks for listening! Please tell folks about the show and leave comments and questions at iMayberry.com/podcasts or by using the contact information given in the podcast.
