The day this episode premieres is Veterans Day here in the United States so I thought it would be fitting to talk about The Andy Griffith Show characters and actors that were veterans. This took a good bit of research and I’m not sure I got them all. If you know of characters or actors that I miss, please let me know
Mayberry trivia expert, Paul Mulik, called in with his information about veterans so we’ll hear from him first and we to close the show we’ll hear from him again in the form or trivia question.
This week’s trivia questions by Paul are all related to the “Fun Girls.” Good luck and have fun answering.

The Manicurist was the 48th episode filmed and the 48th aired of The Andy Griffith Show. (S2.E16)
We’ll play Mayberry trivia all about “The Manicurist.”
Plot Summary The Manicurist:
Shapely young Ellen Brown pops into Mayberry in search of a friendly town where she can make a living as a manicurist. When she lays claim to a corner of Floyd’s Barbershop, the men of Mayberry aren’t quite sure how to act. It isn’t long before they come around to liking the whole idea, and it’s the wives who become less than enthusiastic.
We’ll review some notes and “Odd Facts Known by Few” related to the episode The Manicurist.
We’ll go over the answers to the trivia questions.

Each year I do one episode that’s a lot different than the others I do throughout the year. It’s the spooky time of year so we’re gonna have some fun with stories that are either from Mayberry or are Mayberry related.
This year we have a new story for you that was provided by Dale O. Garrett called “The Legend of The Glowing Remshaw Roses.“
The next story that’s something like a campfire story Andy might tell around the fire called, “Chief Sawnee’s Gold“. This is used by permission from the original site that published it (TheMoonlitRoad.com).
We wrap up with Andy tribute artist, James Dodson, telling us the story of the “Golden Arm.”
Leave the lights on if you’re like Barney and Gomer and these stories might keep you awake around the fire.

This episode will focus on trivia provided by listener/viewer of the podcast, Paul Mulik. Paul provides trivia for us here on Two Chairs quite often and we normally play a few questions each week. Since next week will be our “Spooky Time of the Year” episode and there won’t be any trivia, I thought we’d double down and do an entire group of trivia questions on this episode.
These likely won’t be all that easy so get out your thinking caps and lets see how many we can answer.
A listener wrote in with a question about “Central High” that I have an opinion on but don’t have a “for certain” answer. If you do, I’d love to hear from you.
We have a few voice messages to go through as well so this should be a fun episode.
