Last week we covered some of the information found in the January 2017 issue of The eBullet but there was one part I didn’t cover called “Odd Facts Known by Few.”  I didn’t cover it because I had already planned to do an episode about the topic but Jim Clark, being the master of Mayberry that he is, beat me to it. 🙂

You see, there were a couple of fun Mayberry things that showed up on MeTV’s website about Mayberry and those things were too good to let pass by even if you have already heard about them when you read The eBullet.

Can you guess out of all the television shows that are out there, what The Andy Griffith Show ranked, viewing wise, in 2016?  I’ll tell you…in the show.  We’ll also look at 11 things you may never have noticed on The Andy Griffith Show.

All in all, we’re going to see  it’s still fun watchin’ Mayberry.

There are some really fun things happening around Mayberry on the Internet.  I know the Internet is suppose to be bad but it really depends on where you go when you’re on the web.  If you look for bad things, you can certainly find them but if you go online in search of “Mayberry,” you will find a lot of it to enjoy.

One such thing, which I talked about on Two Chairs #404, is the Facebook Group called “The Gomer & Goober Pyle Comic Book Literary Guild.”  The BIG thing happening there in 2017 is a daily report from Randy Turner called “Today in Mayberry History” where Randy gives a daily dose of things that happened on the particular date in Mayberry.  Go by and check it out for yourself and become a part of the group. (The link is below in the “links” section.)  Randy also agreed to try something special for us here on Two Chairs but you’ll have to listen to see what it is.

Other things online you would enjoy include the iMayberryCommunity.com website where you can meet up with Mayberry fans on a “facebook” like site that’s only for fans of The Andy Griffith Show.

If you enjoy trivia and history, check out the “Mayberry Historical Society” over at Mayberry.info.  The idea of this project is to develop a source of Mayberry information for all Mayberry Fans to have at our finger tips.
Information about characters, episodes, trivia and more can be ours but it’s going to take all the Mayberry community to make it happen. There’s a lot already there but we need help adding even information.
