There is only one Christmas episode of The Andy Griffith Show and fans still enjoy watching it each year. I figure that listeners to this podcast enjoy hearing some of the same music each Christmas, too. It’s a tradition that we’ll continue here at Two Chairs No Waiting to enjoy some Mayberry related Christmas music.
We get to hear Ben Sandifer’s wonderful Mayberry Christmas poem.
We take a wonderful return trip down memory lane with Charlie Monk called “Andy & Opie Christmas.”
Some “Fred Upstairs” want’a be sings “Barney the Mayberry Deputy.” And we close out the show with Miss Ellie singing “Away in a Manger.”

Everyone seems to enjoy the trivia episodes we’ve done in the past. With the new “Mayberry Trivia” book by Scott Hopkins out, I thought this would be a good chance to highlight some of the questions in his book. I e-mailed Scott to see if he had 10 or 20 questions that he wasn’t able to fit in the book that we could use on the podcast. He laughed and said,”If I had 10 or 20 more questions, they would be in the book.” ha ha…
Scott went of to give me permission to pick out questions from the book to make and episode so that’s what you’re going to be able to enjoy in this episode. 20 questions from “Mayberry Trivia: 1,500 Questions About a TV Classic” are coming your way. Grab a pencil and paper to keep score and let’s get started!

Every week on Two Chairs No Waiting I tell you about Weaver’s Department Store and often I think that you don’t realize that it is a REAL store. It isn’t just a name from The Andy Griffith Show that I made up as a sponsor for this podcast. It’s real!
Two years ago I did an episode at Christmas time about the stuff at Weaver’s and this week I thought it was time for me to do it again. I’ll point out things at Weaver’s that would be fun for the Mayberry fan in your life to have, even if that fan is you!
I smile just thinking about having a Mayberry calendar to look at every day of the next year or about having a shirt with Andy, Barney, Opie or one of the folks in Mayberry right on front that I wear to help start conversations and bring smiles.
It’s time to share those smiles with others by giving away a little bit of Mayberry for Christmas, a birthday, or just because you want to make somebody happy.
I’m also looking to hear from you with your list of the TOP FIVE episodes of Two Chairs No Waiting. E-mail me your list so I can create a list of episodes that new listeners would want to hear first to get them “hooked” on the podcast. At Christmas, people get new devices that they could use to listen to this podcast so I want to get them started on the episodes you think are best. E-mail me your top five list Floyd@iMayberry.com

Last week’s episode resulted in a quite a buzz about the upcoming colorized episodes of The Andy Griffith Show. We’ll hear a few voicemail messages and e-mails from fellow fans talking about the big event. Plus we’ll talk a little about Barbara Eden’s appearance at Mayberry Days 2015.
To wrap things up, I’ll tell you a story about a birthday surprise and how it relates to Mayberry.
Enjoy!
