This wonderful interview comes to us from fellow Mayberry fan, Bart Boatwright. George Lindsey interviews authors Jim Clark and Ken Beck about their book on The Andy Griffith Show on Nashville Now in 1985. The two of them helped George write his own book, “Goober in a Nut-Shell”, which? was released 10 years later in 1995.

In this “The Andy Griffith Show” season four episode entitled, ‘The Haunted House’ which originally aired on October 7, 1963, it’s “age before beauty” as the gang from Mayberry discover “there’s nothing to fear, but fear itself!”
Last week we discussed “Where is Mayberry?” and there was a question asked in the chat room during the live recording that I didn’t know off the top of my head. I looked up the answer in The Andy Griffith Show Book by Ken Beck & Jim Clark and share it with you early in the podcast.
We then answer some of the frequently asked questions (FAQs) that have been asked over the years related to Barney Fife/Don Knotts. As you might guess, that’s where the name of the podcast came from and I want to thank Matt who goes by FarmerSamJones in the chat room for suggesting the episode title.
I hope you enjoy listening to these trivial trivialities and I would love to hear back from you with questions or comments.

Some people who visit iMayberry.com come there to find out answers that may seem trivial to trivia experts but they are fans as well and deserve to know the answers to their questions.
I realized that over the years many of the episodes of Two Chairs have been very “inside baseball,” so to speak. I thought it would be good to move into a bit of Mayberry history and answer the question, Where is Mayberry?
We’ll look at a few resources on the web and hear some listener feedback as well.

If you missed Two Chairs No Waiting began #176, you’ll want to listen to it before this episode because part 1 contained the first part of the Q and A session. We pickup right were we left off by continuing to celebrate the life of Don Knotts and mark the anniversary of his passing back on February 24, 2006.
The question and answer session was held during “Mayberry in Meadowview” held in Kingsport, TN in 1999.
You’ll hear more from Mr. Knotts as he continues to answers questions from the audience. You won’t want to miss either episode of this two part tribute.

In this “The Andy Griffith Show” episode – which is the first of Season Four – entitled, ‘Opie The Birdman’ which originally aired on September 30, 1963, Opie becomes a mom!
Aunt Bee is troubled that a friend has just died. She is feeling vulnerable (and afraid) because of her age. A traveling salesman (Colonel Harvey) comes to town selling an elixir that will “cure all that ails ya.” She purchases two bottles, as do many of the town’s people, only to find she’s been swindled. Andy and Barney see through Colonel Harvey’s scheme and catch him, thus preventing further humiliation of the town’s people.
