Some people who visit iMayberry.com come there to find out answers that may seem trivial to trivia experts but they are fans as well and deserve to know the answers to their questions.
I realized that over the years many of the episodes of Two Chairs have been very “inside baseball,” so to speak. I thought it would be good to move into a bit of Mayberry history and answer the question, Where is Mayberry?
We’ll look at a few resources on the web and hear some listener feedback as well.

If you missed Two Chairs No Waiting began #176, you’ll want to listen to it before this episode because part 1 contained the first part of the Q and A session. We pickup right were we left off by continuing to celebrate the life of Don Knotts and mark the anniversary of his passing back on February 24, 2006.
The question and answer session was held during “Mayberry in Meadowview” held in Kingsport, TN in 1999.
You’ll hear more from Mr. Knotts as he continues to answers questions from the audience. You won’t want to miss either episode of this two part tribute.

In this “The Andy Griffith Show” episode – which is the first of Season Four – entitled, ‘Opie The Birdman’ which originally aired on September 30, 1963, Opie becomes a mom!
Aunt Bee is troubled that a friend has just died. She is feeling vulnerable (and afraid) because of her age. A traveling salesman (Colonel Harvey) comes to town selling an elixir that will “cure all that ails ya.” She purchases two bottles, as do many of the town’s people, only to find she’s been swindled. Andy and Barney see through Colonel Harvey’s scheme and catch him, thus preventing further humiliation of the town’s people.

Every year since Two Chairs No Waiting began, we have taken an episode to celebrate the life of Don Knotts and mark the anniversary of his passing on February 24, 2006.
On this 6th anniversary of his passing, we’ll hear a question and answer session held during an event called “Mayberry in Meadowview” which was held in Kingsport, TN in 1999.
You’ll get to hear directly from Mr. Knotts as he answers questions from the audience of the Kingsport event. You will not want to miss this.
You’ll also want to catch the conclusion of the Q&A next week so be sure to subscribe to the podcast and not miss a single episode.

I know the listeners to Two Chairs No Waiting are all big fans of The Andy Griffith Show but we all have friends who are not fans. How can that be? Did their parents not raise them right? Have they been brainwashed into the belief that the show is too “country” or “hickish?” Do they not have a funny bone?
Maybe they just haven’t been exposed to the fun that Mayberry has to offer? Yeah, that must be it!
So let’s figure that they just haven’t seen The Andy Griffith Show. I mean really “seen” the show. Actually sat down and paid attention for 30 minutes. That must be why they aren’t hooked.
Figuring that, what 5 episodes of The Andy Griffith Show will get them hooked like a starving catfish?
