I’ve seen lists all over the internet so I figured I’d come up with a list of things Mayberry folks need to know. I was sitting waiting on a woman, like Andy did, and spent my time entertaining myself with this list. I hope you find it useful and, more than that, fun. I think it’ll bring good feelings to your heart as you re-live moments from the show in your mind.
I may even have more lists like this one because I thought of more than ten things while I was thinking under that bucket. If you have a list, please send it to me. I’d love to read it.
We’ll play some “fun” trivia so you can see how you do.
This week we have a NEW installment called “Returning to Mayberry” by SpiritWalker. SpiritWalker created and administers the Facebook Group called “The Andy Griffith Show Esquire Club.” In his segment, he will be connecting the dots to show how Mayberry can be used to connect “Bluegrass to Newgrass.” I know you’ll enjoy this.

Welcome to episode 67 of the Mayberry Devotional entitled “Clean Your Window”. Today I’ll be looking at episode one of season three of The Andy Griffith Show, “Mr. McBeeVee.” I’ll also be looking at Scripture from 1 Corinthians 13:12.
“For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.” KJV.
In this time when life has been so strange and stressful, I think it’s important to try and keep things in perspective with a Mayberry state of mind. When I say that phrase, “Mayberry state of mind,” what do you think of? A simpler time maybe? A more relaxed time when family was the focus of our lives?
Let’s talk about that and look to a quote from a recent movie that I believe said it very well.
We’ll play some “fun” trivia. By “fun” I mean questions that are not to hard.
This week’s installment of This Week in Mayberry History by Randy Turner featuring “Lurene Tuttle” part 5 is the 250th installment.

Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity, dignity, and sound speech that cannot be condemned, so that an opponent may be put to shame, having nothing evil to say about us. ESV

“As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace” ESV
I’ve been watching episodes of The Andy Griffith Show on pluto.tv lately (it’s on channel 510) and it shows all the episodes in order on a loop. That means I catch the color episodes a little more often than I usually do.
We fans are, I think, missing out on some very good television by avoiding the color episodes. I just watched the season 8 episode “Emmett’s Brother-in-Law” and I have to say it was a good one. Nice story and a good moral as well. I think it really displayed the spirit of Mayberry and caring about one another in a nice way.
I want to encourage you to give the color episodes a chance. There’s some funny and fun stuff there.
We have a few voice mails from folks and we’ll play a little trivia as well.
