The show we’re going to go back and give another think to some of the topics we covered in the last few episodes. They raise questions and created comments that are well worth talking about.
In one case, I answered a question from an audience member incorrectly so I’m going to correct the answer. My thanks to Randy Turner for pointing out the correct answer that is found in his “Mayberry Firsts” book (found at WeaversDepartmentStore).
We’ll also hear from a couple of folks about if knowing more changes how they watch episodes of The Andy Griffith Show.
To clear the palate, we’ll do a few Mayberry trivia questions.
We have an installment of This Week in Mayberry History by Randy Turner featuring “Hal Smith” part 2 to wrap up the Mayberry fun.

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” KJV
This past weekend on May 1, 2022, the MeTV series Collectors Call featured the collection owned by Mike Haviland so I thought it fitting to talk about Mike and how well he represented Mayberry during the show. As such, Mike also worked with MeTV to develop several Mayberry related trivia quizzes with Round One being: “How well do you know Sheriff Andy?“
We’re going to play that trivia. It’s twenty-five questions related to Sheriff Taylor and I know you’ll enjoy playing along.
This episode we have a new installment of This Week in Mayberry History by Randy Turner featuring “Hal Smith” part 1 that I know you’ll enjoy so go ahead and press play so we can get the show on the road.

Welcome to episode 78 of the Mayberry Devotional entitled “Pay Attention”. Today I’ll be looking at season three episode twelve of The Andy Griffith Show, “The Bed Jacket”. And I’ll also be looking at Scripture from Hebrews 2:1.
Therefore we must pay much closer attention to what we have heard, lest we drift away from it.
I’ve gotten several voice messages from you and I’m so thankful. This episode we’ll hear several messages and I’ll try to answer the questions that are asked. I’m not too sure I know the answers so if you have better answers than I provide, please call in and help me out by correcting my answers.
After we hear from you, we’ll have a little trivia fun.
Finally, we’ll checkout this weeks installment of “Returning to Mayberry” by SpiritWalker called “Andy Dazzler to Bobby Dazzler.”

and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
Granville, TN has an annual Mayberry/I Love Lucy Day and this years was held on April 9th. The special guest for the event was Keith Thibodeaux, the man who played Opie’s friend “Johnny Paul” as well as “Little Ricky” on I Love Lucy. What a wonderful bridge between the two great television classics.
Episode #295 of Two Chairs that featured Keith and I encourage you to give it a listen because while he does go into a bit of his time on The Andy Griffith Show in the presentation he did in Granville, he talked more about it back in episode 295.
In Granville, Keith shared with us all his experience growing up in the entertainment industry. He talks about how he got his job on I Love Lucy and what that was like. His hits on the fun he had working on The Andy Griffith Show and then moves on to how his life after Mayberry played out. His struggles, reaching out to God, redemption, and joy. You will not want to miss a minute.
Finally, we’ll checkout this weeks installment of “Returning to Mayberry” by SpiritWalker called “Car Men to Guitar Men.”
