These episodes are my favorites because I get to hear from you and your listener feedback. This is, I believe, our 45th listener feedback episode. We’ve had more episode feedback that that but not all of them were dedicated to only feedback.
We have voicemails from several listeners as well as comments submitted online, mostly from YouTube viewers of Two Chairs No Waiting. If you only listen to the episodes, you’re missing out on seeing my smiling face each week as well as the images related to topics I discuss so give the YouTube version of the show a watch on your phone of tablet. You can even watch it on your smart TV, if you have one, and it looks good on the big screen.
This week installment of “Returning to Mayberry” by SpiritWalker is called, “Peterson to Nicholson.” I know you’re going to enjoy it.

I’ve been watching episodes of The Andy Griffith Show on pluto.tv lately (it’s on channel 510) and it shows all the episodes in order on a loop. That means I catch the color episodes a little more often than I usually do.
We fans are, I think, missing out on some very good television by avoiding the color episodes. I just watched the season 8 episode “Emmett’s Brother-in-Law” and I have to say it was a good one. Nice story and a good moral as well. I think it really displayed the spirit of Mayberry and caring about one another in a nice way.
I want to encourage you to give the color episodes a chance. There’s some funny and fun stuff there.
We have a few voice mails from folks and we’ll play a little trivia as well.

Each year for the past several years there has been a “Badge Raise” on New Years Eve at the Mount Airy Museum of Regional History. This year we had a roving reporter on the scene to give us a first hand report about the goings on.
We also have several pieces of voice mail feedback from listeners/viewers of Two Chairs No Waiting. I can’t tell you how much it means to hear from you and I’m so thankful for those who take time to call in.
We’ll play some trivia, too!

We have some more feedback from listeners like you and one of them inspired the title of this episode. There was a “Johnny Paul” in the episode of The Andy Griffith Show, “Man in a Hurry“, who is with Opie following the church service trading Opie a penny that was run over by a train. That actor is not, or appears not to be, the same actor who played Johnny Paul Jason in later episodes of the show. Who was he?
Also, is it possible that Duncan Phyfe actually is related to Barney Fife because somebody had to spell it right eventually? Chris raises that question and it’s one to ponder.
This week’s installment of This Week in Mayberry History by Randy Turner featuring “Jan Shutan” part 1.

Saturday October 11, 2008 was date the very first episode of the Two Chairs No Waiting was published on the internet. Since that date I, along with guest reporters like Randy Turner, have created 11 days, 3 hours, 12 minutes, and 15 seconds of Two Chairs No Waiting content for Mayberry fans to enjoy. By the way, those are 24 hour days so it’s enough to listen to for week and four days before you have to start over.
We’re going to hear from some of you by voice mail this week and one of those mentions that he recently started listening to the podcast from the beginning and he’s up to the 400’s. Whew….
We’ll also talk about the appearance by Rik Roberts and myself this past weekend on Governor Mike Huckabee’s show on TBN. We were there to spread the work about the Mayberry Man movie and I think we did pretty well. A link to the official YouTube video of our segment will be in the show notes so if you missed it, you can still check it out.
We’ll play a little Mayberry trivia and then head over to hear from Randy.

Two Chairs No Waiting is an audio podcast BUT there is a video version of all the episodes since about episode 102 and many folks enjoy watching on YouTube. I rarely gather comments from viewers so I thought I should show some love to them in this episode. Feedback like this give me a chance to talk about past episodes that new listeners/viewers may have missed so it’s always fun to revisit the archives.
We have some fun with questions from the Mayberry Trivia book by Scott Hopkins (can be purchased at Weaver’s) and test our skill with True or False question.
Finally we’ll hear from Randy Turner and This Week in Mayberry History featuring “Classic TV Sponsors.”

Looking back, the last episode I dedicated to listener feedback was almost a year ago in Two Chairs #577 (April 14, 2020). I’ve been trying to fit feedback into portions of other episodes in the mean time but I thought it was time to focus and hear from you.
We have a lot of written feedback from YouTube and the TwoChairsNoWaiting.com website for this show and on bit of voicemail as well. Topics vary but they’re all Mayberry so lets have some fun!
Bonus: This week’s installment of This Week in Mayberry History by Randy Turner featuring “The Danny Thomas Show.”
