Two Chairs No Waiting
We continue, from Two Chairs No Waiting #73, our visit back to 1991 when Opryland in Nashville, TN held a Mayberry Reunion.
In this episode we’ll hear from George Lindsey, Don Knotts, Hal Smith, Betty Lynn and Maggie Peterson as they look back and remember time spend on the set and how The Andy Griffith Show touched their lives.
There’s fly catching, impersonating, cartoon voices, and laughter so this episode has what you’re looking for in one way or another.
I hope you enjoy the show.

Two Chairs No Waiting
Opryland in Nashville, TN presented a Mayberry Reunion back in 1991. In this episode we hear from some of the cast of The Andy Griffith Show that were present for a press conference held just before they began the reunion shows held over the course of a weekend. We’ll have more clips from this press conference in the coming episodes so be sure to stick around.
The question being addressed in this show is, “Do you feel you were typecast because of your role on The Andy Griffith Show? Also, address any negatives or positives related to your role.”
You’ll hear the following folks answering these questions in this order: Rodney “Darling” Dillard, George “Goober” Lindsey, Betty “Thelma Lou” Lynn, Maggie “Charlene” Peterson, Hal “Otis” Smith, and Jack “Rafe Hollister” Prince. George and Betty speak more than one time each but I’m sure you’ll recognize their voices as you listen.

Two Chairs No Waiting
Thank you for coming back for our second episode of Two Chairs No Waiting where we continue with the second of our four part interview with George Lindsey . I reported last time that the interview was done in Jim Clark’s living room but I mistakenly left out the fact that my wonderful wife Jan was there in the room with George, Jim, Kenneth and myself. It *was* ten years ago and I couldn’t remember exactly who was there but she knew….you could tell by the way she was looking at me….she knew she was the one…..the one I left out of my list. Kind’a reminded me of “Ole Sam” the way she was looking at me.
This is part 2 of a four part interview with George Lindsey.
