The eBullet Newsletter for January 2022 is out so it’s time for us to take a look at some of the highlights.
Jim Clark at The Andy Griffith Show Rerun Watchers Club (TAGSRWC) HQ in Nashville, TN works so hard to keep us as Mayberry fans informed about what’s happening in and around Mayberry with issues of The eBullet every other month. Fans so thankful for all Jim’s effort in writing this newsletter.
Hopefully you already read this issue of The eBullet because you subscribe and it was delivered directly to your email inbox. But in case you didn’t get it, or you hate reading, I’ll cover some of the highlights.

I’ve been watching episodes of The Andy Griffith Show on pluto.tv lately (it’s on channel 510) and it shows all the episodes in order on a loop. That means I catch the color episodes a little more often than I usually do.
We fans are, I think, missing out on some very good television by avoiding the color episodes. I just watched the season 8 episode “Emmett’s Brother-in-Law” and I have to say it was a good one. Nice story and a good moral as well. I think it really displayed the spirit of Mayberry and caring about one another in a nice way.
I want to encourage you to give the color episodes a chance. There’s some funny and fun stuff there.
We have a few voice mails from folks and we’ll play a little trivia as well.

Each year for the past several years there has been a “Badge Raise” on New Years Eve at the Mount Airy Museum of Regional History. This year we had a roving reporter on the scene to give us a first hand report about the goings on.
We also have several pieces of voice mail feedback from listeners/viewers of Two Chairs No Waiting. I can’t tell you how much it means to hear from you and I’m so thankful for those who take time to call in.
We’ll play some trivia, too!

I’ve known this episode number was coming for a while and wondered how I would handle this particular number. I finally was given a great suggestion by Cort Howell to call it “Six, six, six, and seven eights” and, like Henry “the jinx” Bennett who drew out the hat size, to focus on superstitions. I’ve done episodes on superstitions before but this is a different look at them.
Superstitions – Where Did They Come From? Even if you think of yourself as a die-hard skeptic, you’ve probably heard of one or two superstitions in your time — and perhaps even indulged in an occasional good luck ritual of your own. Maybe it was a crazy owl flying around or it was wearing your “lucky socks” to help win a ballgame.
Let’s take a look and see where these superstitions started.

During Christmas time, folks tend to get new electronic toys that can be used for listening to or watching podcasts. Over the years I’ve done an episode this time of year to reflect on the past year (and beyond) to see which episodes you have downloaded or viewed the most over the last year. This is a good way for newfolks to see which of the 664 previous episodes they might like to go back and check out.
There are currently 664 episodes of Two Chairs No Waiting (before this episode). The total about of time that one could listen to Two Chairs before starting over is 11 days, 9 hours, 46 minutes and 14 seconds (before this episode).
Hopefully this list will be helpful in finding episodes you might enjoy revisiting or hearing for the first time.
This week’s installment of This Week in Mayberry History by Randy Turner has a bonus for you because I didn’t realize Randy provided me a segment for the Christmas episode. So, we’ll hear the Bonus and then later in the episode we’ll get is weekly report featuring “Mark Miller” part 4.
