This is the final episode of our series of episodes listening to the memories of some of the Mayberry Tribute Artist. Those in the room while I was recording were David “The Mayberry Deputy” Browning, Kenneth “Otis” Junkin, Tim “Goober” Pettigrew, Jeff “Howard” Branch, Phil “Ernest T” Fox, Bob “Briscoe” Mundy, Michael “Gomer” Oliver, and myself.
This episode you hear from Tammy Branch who is the mom of former Opie Taylor tribute artist Jamie Sullivan. Tammy also appears as the character Millie Hutchins (and other characters) at Mayberry events keeping the Mayberry tradition alive and in the family.
Following the wrap up of the tribute artists memories, I’m going to play a special segment for you of the very first time I ever did the character “Floyd” in public. It wasn’t just in public…no…it was on a local early morning television show here in Huntsville, AL and it was more than 20 years ago.
I hope you enjoy these memories because it’s sure been fun sharing them with you.
“Mayberry” is alive and well in our hearts so spread the love.

This week we continue our series of episodes where we hear Mayberry Tribute Artist join me in sharing their memories. Recently David “The Mayberry Deputy” Browning, Kenneth “Otis” Junkin, Tim “Goober” Pettigrew, Jeff “Howard” Branch, Phil “Ernest T” Fox, Bob “Briscoe” Mundy, Michael “Gomer” Oliver, and myself sat down and we spend almost an hour recording our memories of performing as the characters we all love from The Andy Griffith Show. You’ll hear us talking about the actors from the show but also about the wonderful Mayberry fans we’ve met through the years.
I hope you enjoy these memories because they mean enough to the tribute artists that they wanted to share them with you. I also hope you see that “Mayberry” is alive and well in the hearts of many people throughout this country.

On October 11, 2008 the Two Chairs No Waiting Podcast was launched and with this episode we reach the 6 year and 300th episode milestone! It’s hard for me to imagine that you have joined me for 300 episodes of a show where we visit and talk about The Andy Griffith Show and we still find new things to discuss.
Because of The Andy Griffith Show and this podcast I have been able to meet and get to know you and so many other fans of our “home town.” You are the salt of this earth and it is because of you that I take time to find a topic for us to discuss each week. You are what makes Two Chairs happen and I thank you for it.
This week we begin a series of several episodes where several Mayberry Tribute Artist join me in sharing their memories. David “The Mayberry Deputy” Browning, Kenneth “Otis” Junkin, Tim “Goober” Pettigrew, Jeff “Howard” Branch, Phil “Ernest T” Fox, Bob “Briscoe” Mundy, Michael “Gomer” Oliver, and myself sat down and we spend almost an hour recording our memories of performing as the characters we all love from The Andy Griffith Show. Wow…249! Two Chairs No Waiting has reached an episode total matching the number of episodes of The Andy Griffith Show and it’s time to celebrate that achievement by visiting some of our guests from past episodes of Two Chairs.
Guest from the very early days of Two Chairs were kind enough to agree to drop back by our little corner of Mayberry and visit with us. We have a hole mess of folks so I’m just going to list them in the order they appeared with links to their episodes listed below in the “Related Links” section.
In appearance order: Al Gandolfi, Tim Pettigrew, Debbie Miles, Darrel Miles, Samantha Miles, Tim White, Bob Mundy, Alma Venable, Kenneth Junkin, Rodney Dillard, Maggie Peterson, Jeff Branch, and David Browning. Ain’t that BIG! Please note that the appearance order is relative only to when I caught up with each one…they’re all number one in my book.
I hope you enjoy the show and thank you for joining me on this special episode. “Aww….Big ain’t the word for it.”

There has been a photo making the rounds on the internet the last month or so saying:
You’ll never, in a million years, guess who this is.
Guess who?
Bet you can’t guess who this blonde beauty is……… look closely and try guess before scrolling down for the answer.. After you guess or give up, scroll down below the photo.
It then goes on to say the photo is Frances Bavier. Well…it isn’t. I’ve been trying for weeks to defeat this rumor/urban legend but I’m not winning. I’m hopeful that after this podcast, the listeners of Two Chairs will help me spread the truth.
We’ll also hear a couple of your voice mails! Keep ’em coming…I love to hear from you.

Friends, the world lost our number one deputy on February 24, 2006. To celebrate the life of Don Knotts and the amazing character he brought to life the Two Chairs No Waiting podcast has dedicated an episode of the podcast to him each year. This year is no exception.
TAGSRWC member Bart Boatwright owns a master copy of the The Andy Griffith, Don Knotts, Jim Nabors Special from 1965. As part of that special, Andy and Don appeared as Andy Taylor and Barney Fife in a version of the Mayberry courthouse. They even performed the judo attack with a ruler skit with Andy attacking Don.
I hope you’ll enjoy hearing the scene and picturing in your head the action. In this one case, you may also want to watch the video version of Two Chairs to see what’s happening. Or just drop by Bart’s YouTube video and see the original.
Thank you Mr. Knotts, for all you did to bring joy into our lives! “Mayberry says, ‘Thanks and happy motorin.'”
