Merry Christmas from Two Chairs No Waiting. This episode features an interview with Elinor Donahue recorded during rehearsal for the Mayberry in Meadowview event held in Kingsport, TN on June 27, 1998. It is a fun interview and “Miss Ellie” is a wonderful person. I can’t thank her enough for sitting down and talking with me. We end the episode in a special way as well so be sure to listen.

Hi, Allan..
I just listened to the interview with Elinor Donahue, and enjoyed it very much. What a delightful person she is! It would be just wonderful if she would join us on the cruise in October.
Keep these interviews going, especially if everyone is as nice as “Miss Ellie”.
Great interview. I really enjoy hearing from the cast members, like getting inside the show. I never new that she felt inadequate at playing Miss Ellie, she sure did come across very well on the show, and loved her singing of “Away in the Manger” That Christmas episode is a classic! Just can not get this stuff about our favorite show anywhere else! Another book I need to get my hands on!
