In the past few weeks, I’ve received several requests to hear more information about Frances Bavier. As you know, Frances was Aunt Bee on The Andy Griffith Show but she had a long career before her time in Mayberry.
She was a stage actress beginning back in 1925 and continuing for the next 25 years before she moved along to film and television. We’ll hear all about that early career and information about the movies she appeared in as well.
I know you’ll enjoy getting got know “Aunt Bee” just a bit better. If you want even more information, don’t miss episodes #139 and 140 of Two Chairs No Waiting which also focus on Bavier.
Follow me on Twitter if you use twitter. I’ve been posting all kinds of Mayberry things there as another way to let folks know about The Andy Griffith Show.

Impressive career. Funny how we kinda get stuck thinking of her as only Aunt Bee.
You stated Francis Bavier played the housekeeper on the Eve Arden show. She actually played Eve Arden’s Mother on the show.
